Tiny Canes Recreation Rules

Sides:
-5v5. 5 field players, with no goalkeeper. Minimum of 3v3 to start and finish the game.

Ball:
-Size 3 soccer ball tightly inflated - Home team provides ball.

Game Length:
-4 quarters of 5 minutes - 3 minute break between quarters
-Home team gets 1st & 3rd quarter kickoff. Away team gets 2nd & 4th quarter kickoff.

 Officials:
-The coach from each team will officiate and will be responsible for calls.
-The home team coach is responsible for keeping time.
-All rules infractions should be briefly explained to the offending player.

Substitutions:
-At the end of each quarter. (Each player should at least play two quarters.)
-If an injury or other occurrence happens that the player can't continue, a substitution can take place.

Equipment:
- Shin guards are required. Socks are over top the shin guards. Cleats required.
-Jewelry not permitted.

Goalkeepers:
-There is no goalkeeper in Tiny Canes. One player must not be left in the back to play "goalie."
-Players should be encouraged to play the entire field. 

Age Specific Rules:
-Kick ins and dribble ins are taken.
-No offside calls made.
-Corner kicks are taken.
-Any fouls called result in an indirect free kick.
-After a goal is scored, game is restarted with a kick-off inside the middle circle.
-On a goal kick, the opposing team must retreat behind the half line. They can move back into their offensive half once the ball is kicked and touched by another player on the other team.
